New Cria Victoria's Hernia

Our first cria of 2011 (Victoria) has a hernia.  Under my friend Helen's guidance, we borrowed a pair of her daughters tights and made a hernia vest for her.  Finger's crossed she gets better soon.

Shearing Day...

Many thanks to Jay Holland and Garry Naish for yet another stress free shearing day.  They were so kind that they even sheared Venus, our pregnant black Suri girl with a bad back, when she was standing up.

It was nice to catch up on all of the Alpaca related gossip over a well deserved pint of cider and bacon sandwich.  We look forward to seeing you both again next year !

Poo and Parasite Day 18th April, 2011

Yet again Bob Broadbent has kindly offered to present another seminar here on testing your own poo for parasites!  Yippee!!!!!!!
If you would like to come along and bring your own alpaca poo, and alpaca skin samples just get in contact with me and I will give you more details.
For those of you who came last time and are coming again, please remember to take your poo home with you this time.  I found some in the fridge, on the patio table, on the kitchen worktop, and outside the back door!
